Not only are we told to anticipate The End of Books but now we hear that Blogs are Dead. But most Twitter users continue to blog in long form and link to their blog posts in their tweets: thanks to friendfeed links to my LJ posts appear as tweets.

The strike is to protest arbitrary changes by LJ's new Russian owners such as banning certain words from the Popular Interests list, and eliminating new basic accounts (existing basic accounts are grandfathered) without first soliciting member comments.
