We just saw Jonathan Kravetz's play Prayer at Pace University as part of the NYC Fringe Festival. We sat on folding chairs in the front row, and I was able to elevate my feet on my folding foot stool. It's a difficult play to watch, but I'm glad I did. It takes place entirely in a prison under an autocratic theocracy. The blurb for the play states: In a world of religious fundamentalism, Jacob Bergson finds himself wrongfully imprisoned. His only hope is Sophia, his strangely absent wife. Prayer will challenge your ideas about the nature of morality through one man's search for justice and redemption. There are four more performances of Prayer, and I recommend seeing it.

After the play we ate at an Indian/Pakistani cafeteria style restaurant on Church St between Warren & Chambers: good cheap eats. Then for dessert we got tastiD*lite soft custard around the corner on Chambers Street.

This evening we saw Kululush at the Israel Film Festival. The theater was half empty for the 5:15 show, and I was able to find a seat with an empty space in front of it where I could extend and elevate my feet on my folding foot stool.

I just saw Mehmet Oz on Charlie Rose; I already eat a healthy diet, but I hope this helps those who do not:

You On A Diet shopping list

Oz said that one's waist should never be more than half of one's height. Sounds like a good guideline. I'm 72 inches tall so my waist should not be more than 36 inches (it is in fact 33 or 34 inches).
