Bronx Zoo in-law visit
Jul. 9th, 2006 01:52 pmWe met my BIL and niece at the Bronx Zoo yesterday. By the time we got there the parking lots were full, so we had to park on the street. The car kept clonking out when idling, which our garage guy has since explained was due to Shoshana killing the battery a week ago (she left the parking lights on--something I've done before too) which wiped out the car's computer's memory. The remedy, according to garage guy, is to let it idle in Drive for 15 minutes, turn it off for 5 minutes, and then start it up again. Anyway, the zoo was very crowded, but the animals were fun. Our 11 year old niece Naomi said the tiger was her favorite. There was practically no traffic on the way home, and we had dinner at Veggie Castle where the food was delicious. They played Sirius radio's reggae channel really LOUD, which was OK for the short time it took to order on the cafeteria style line and eat. Today Shoshana is hanging out with her brother and niece in Manhattan and will attend a NY Liberty game at MSG. I have the place to myself until late evening.
