TrustFlow II: Who is closest to your friends list?

I tried it and actually I knew about half the people in real life, and the other half I'd heard of.

On your list, "my people" (w/in my social set) are anotherjen (who you would definitely dig---ask off-journal), gosling, sunspiral, weegoddess, roozle, chanaleh, ceo, klingonlandlady.

It actually doesn’t work for me. The person listed as closest in location is in Portland Oregon, which is not even very close. No one in California was even listed. It would work better if it analyzed my interests and found people who had similar interests to me.

What it did for you was it seemed to pull out all of my friends and suggest that you add those people. I see my entire friends list there. One could simply go to their friends list, and try to add all of those friends, but those people may not be the same who have similar interests to you.

I found there are a number of add me group on live journal. People post there when they want new friends. Most people on live journal don’t want new friends, and tell people to go away in huge big letters. So I viewed the add me groups, and then selected only those who I had some common interest with. For example someone 16 years old in high school, I have nothing in common with them. Most of the posts were like that. I already found some that would work in terms of my age, 40, and interests.

It's not geographical but rather degrees of separation.

I thought the top of the list was supposed to be closest in location, but I see that is not the case.

The add me 40 and up ending up working really well. I noticed the other add me groups that don't say and up, and all really young kids. I don't know why it did not appear on the searches before, so I dropped all the groups that are not and up for age.

didnt work for me either.

im in NJ, and my closest person was in AZ, and my farthest was SC

i have about 10 people on my friends list who all live in my town ... so i dont really think my results were typical.

hahaha.

I don't think they mean geographically but rather they're referring to terms of degrees of separation and shared interests.
