A house painter is supposed to come by tommorow morning to give us an estimate on painting our apartment. It really needs to get done--we last painted 11 years ago when we first moved here. If the estimate is too expensive we may have to attempt it ourselves (we have 14' ceilings). We'll see if we make it to synagogue afterward. Tomorrow afternoon is one of Shoshana's openings (the other gallery is later this week), and we'll probably eat out tomorrow evening. Sunday Shosh hopes to paint, which she hasn't been able to do the past couple of weeks because of family obligations.

..14 ft. cielings?? If you have to do it yourselves, do some hunting at a GOOD hardware outlet....there's some pretty clever gadgets that make cieling painting quite easy.

Thanks; I checked that stuff out at Lowes. I'll also need a very tall ladder to tape the anchor fixtures of the ceiling fans. Actually moving heavy furniture, bookcases and appliances away from walls and being on my feet a lot (which is contraindicated by my Lower Limb Lymphedema) will be the hardest parts.

Hopefully there's no rush rush on this project....then you can stop and rest often.....I have muscle and back problems...I would have a hard time with that project too....should have seen me wrestling with a super queen mattress......hilarious.
heavy furniture? I remember seeing ads for super-eeze...pads for furnitur legs that are super polished to make it super easy to slide heavy furniture.
