yes, well...while the sentiment obama had of letting congress take the lead on this policy issue was a noble one, that is one thing bush had right. In letting them take the lead on this, he has given a bunch of monkeys some typewriters and expected them to produce the works of shakespeare. what they did instead, quite predictably, was fling a bunch of shit, bank on the keyboards, and generally make a huge mess of things.
as far as the two blue-dog traitor democrats...the DNC has an unfortunate tradition of shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly. Obama's victory and their electoral success of the last few years has apparently not deterred them from this tradition.
