American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Brush up on your mythology first. I enjoyed it but in a cerebral sort of way; it didn't make me cry & I prefer books that do. I suspect this book is an extended allegory but if so I'm not sure I get it.

my brother enjoyed it. perhaps I should ask him to explain it. I never read it myself. Of his books I've read Coraline, Stardust, and Neverwhere. I have purchased "Good Omens" but havent gotten around to reading it yet. of the three I've read my favorite was "Neverwhere". I'm partial to fantasy type works that entail a lot of imagination and creativity.
