Wearing my new talit (which I plan to leave in shul tomrrow--ergo the photo today). We bought the fabric in a Jackson Heights sari shop and Shoshana turned it into a talit with fringes from Eichler's following instructions from The Jewish Catalogue.

I watched something the other day about the meansing of the knots and the corners on a talit, about bounderies, etc, and space berween us and the divine... was facinating

Tying the knots is way more methodical and meticulous than I am used to; I'm lucky that Shoshana did it for me (even if that is not kosher according to sexist Orthodox halacha which insists knots are supposed to be tied by a man).
