Informal Poll: Fess up: Do you Google yourself?

I Google myself once every three or four months. I have a very common name, so when I Googled myself for the first time about a decade ago I didn't show up until the 14th page. As recently as three or four years ago I didn't show up until the seventh page, but today I'm on the first page in the number eight position; on Yahoo I'm the fourth David Cooper listed, and on Quintura I'm number three. Adding my middle initial pushes me up into the top spot.

The best part of Googling myself is finding my poems on websites whose existence I was unaware of.

Me too. Yea, once every four or five months or so, whenever I think about it. I'm the only person in the world with the name Jonathan Chisdes and there are rarely any surprises, but occasionally I discover that someone has linked to one of my old articles. It's a pleasant suprise to discover that someone out there has a positive enough view of something I once wrote that they felt it was worthwhile to cite or link to. It's a good feeling because without that I sometimes wonder if anything I ever did was ever worthwhile.

Every now and then I do. I also google my email address. Shows comments and other things you might have posted without using your name.
