Urologist: Ecoli is the culprit, it will take longer to get well than it did to get sick, finish the Cipro; he's not happy about my trip to Chicago but won't veto it either. I'll see him again in a month.

I'm not certain. It could be that it got on my hands when preparing food or cleaning our cat's litter box and my hand washing was insufficiently thorough, or perhaps it was thorough enough and afterward a damp, many times used before hand towel was the source. Perhaps I should start washing my hands before urinating as well as after. I also have another guess which most readers will consider TMI.

I may have gotten it from a sex toy that though washed with soap and water as directed may not have been washed thoroughly enough to kill the bacterium in question. For some time I have been afflicted with Delayed Ejaculation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_ejaculation). Because of a discrepancy in my and my wife's respective sex drives I supplement with masturbation. One of the possible causes of Delayed Ejaculation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_ejaculation) is becoming accustomed to manual stimulation during masturbation as opposed to vaginal stimulation during intercourse. One remedy is to alter the method of masturbation to better simulate the feeling of intercourse by use of a masturbation sleeve such as Slipinside by Vibratex (http://www.edenfantasys.com/masturbators/masturbation-sleeves/slipinside1-nubbed). I have been taking a very low dose of Elavil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elavil) to treat fibromyalgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia). I went off Elavil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elavil) briefly and instead used Lyrica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyrica) to treat my fibromyalgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia), but while on Lyrica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyrica) my libido went AWOL, and so I switched back to Elavil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elavil). Anyway, while recovering from the ecoli infection I have been completely celibate as per my urologist's instructions. Maybe the hiatus will help.
