first harry potter book wasn't published until 1997. She became mayor in 1996. There are 4 Harry Potter books listed.

She has been governor for 20 months. Before that she was mayor. If she became mayor in 1996, and became governor in January 2007, that means she was mayor for over a decade, and during that decade all four titles in question were published.
