The latter article seems to translate my grandmother's name Fanny from the Yiddish as Penny. I am grateful that my great grandparents had the good sense to emigrate to the USA.

Date: 2007-04-16 11:23 pm (UTC)The great-great-grandfather definitely looks like you. The great-grandfather looks like Sarah and Samuel, IMO anyway. But it's your mother's side of the family, no? Otherwise i'd say he looked like your father also, but in a different way than your siblings.

The very distinctive surprised-looking eyebrows and widely-spaced roung eyes are direct courtesy of Philip Schwartz, the kosher butcher of Altoona, PA.
