Mom intentionally weans the newest one after 9 months so she can get pregnant again. Then she passes the baby on to it's older "buddy." It's so sick it's beyond words! They're into trusting God for the size of their family (see Gothard), but if you're intentionally trying to get pregnant, how is that trusting God?

Oh, how I could rant about them all day, but I won't since this isn't my blog.

I just thought it was funny as hell. Even though I never assumed that Groucho said that on his show, I clicked on the link & read--very interesting. Thanks for providing it.

But those people who keep spitting out offspring as if said offspring were watermelon seeds are pretty strange anyway, IMO. While I realize that there are people who regard women as breeders or nothing, I think that there's something a little odd about consenting to be a human incubator for one's entire childbearing life.

Sets a weird example for the kids, and what happens if something terrible befalls one of the parents? (Like Mom getting the clap, because Dad caught it when he wanted some action where he didn't feel like a bee-bee rattling around in a boxcar & didn't use protection?)
