President Clarence Thomas, perfect heir apparent to Bush

There's a good chance Clarence Thomas would get the nomination if he entered the presidential race. He'd be the closest candidate to George W. Bush, and Bush still has many unwavering supporters among Republicans. They would dearly love to be able to vote for another Bush while patting themselves on their backs for being racially color-blind.

There would be no other Republican candidate who mirrored Bush in so many ways.

Well, with his book out, he'll lose almost all the woman's vote. He shows himself to be a first class asshole WRT women.

True. If he resigned from the court to run, got the Republican nomination and then lost to Senator Clinton there would be a certain poetic justice, especially if she got to nominate Barak Obama as his successor (the Democratic Senate having rejected whomever Bush nominated).
