pre-pesach vacation
Mar. 24th, 2007 06:50 pmTomorrow is the only day our cleaning lady is available to help Shoshana kasher our kitchen for Pesach, so starting Monday we will be away for nine days: three days in Mt. Laurel, NJ with day trips to Philadelphia, then three days in western CT where we'll hike, visit local art museums, and just hang out, and then on to my in-laws in central CT for first seder, ending at my parents' house in New Rochelle for second seder after which we'll go home to Brooklyn.
The last time we were away for that length of time was in 1999 when we visited WA state and Victoria, BC. On that trip and on earlier long trips (MI in 1996 and PEI in 1988) I became quite ill. Today I feel weak, have a sore throat, very congested sinuses, a headache, and an upset stomach. I'm hoping that it's a 24 hour bug, and that by Monday I'll feel fine.
