O Mores, O Tempores: Generation Me

I was born too early; much of this describes me: Generation Me

Oh, BTW, I'm now offically a geezer. Earlier this month I joined AARP & when I renewed my YMCA membership I saved 20%.

I so did not need to read that last sentence.

On the other hand, some people freak when they see 40 on the horizon---not that I'm not freaking, but comparatively speaking I feel so...still in bloom...still like black moist fertile earth...OK. I'll stop now.

How old do you have be to join that? You don't look that old. I think of myself as the me generation, the 80's and the me first attitude. Good that you are that you are working out and stuff. Hope you don't mind I added you.

You or your spouse have to be 50 to join. I'm ten years older than you. Thanks for the compliment; you look quite fit yourself. I recall the 70s being referred to at the time as the me decade (people retreating from 60s activism to focus on themselves--often in new age contexts). Your video clips are fun, and I've added you back.

Thank you for the add!

50 is not old, my husband is over 50 not yet 60.

Then if he joins & he lists you as his spouse you get a card too.

Happy Belated Birthday. I've always loved the sound of the word, "geezer." Where do you think it originates? However, I truly do not think you qualify!

Aw thanks, (my 13 year old nephew actually called me that!)
